The IAFF Burn Foundation, created in 1982 as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, is dedicated to burn prevention education, burn care research and improving the quality of life for burn survivors across North America. In addition, the IAFF Burn Foundation works to protect first responders from burn injury or death.
